Gaviscon is an over-the-counter antacid medication primarily used to relieve symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. It works by forming a protective 'raft' on top of stomach contents to prevent acid reflux into the esophagus.
There is a product here in this country called Gavaskon, which is essentially seaweed gum with I don't have shares in it, by the way, but it it's seaweed gum with some minerals in there.
""Dr. Simon Mills introduces Gaviscon as a simple, effective alternative to Omeprazole for acid reflux, explaining its 'raft principle' mechanism. He recommends it as a physical barrier to prevent reflux, contrasting it with drugs that suppress acid production."
