"The Insider" is a 1999 American drama film directed by Michael Mann, starring Al Pacino and Russell Crowe. Based on a true story, the film depicts the struggles of a former tobacco company executive who decides to blow the whistle on his company's unethical practices regarding the addition of addictive chemicals to cigarettes, and the challenges faced by a "60 Minutes" producer trying to air his story.
Did you ever see that movie, The Insider with Russell Crowe? I don't think so. It's about a guy who works for a tobacco company that is explaining. He was a chemist and he's explaining how they added all these different things to make it more addictive and they're trying to kill him in the film because they don't want that information getting out. He's the insider. It's kind of crazy movie and based on a true story.
